研習營簡介：

想要探究如何設計音樂遊戲及玩具嗎？想知道理論家及研究人員如何理解音樂活動與玩遊戲之間的關連性嗎？想針對您的音樂產品開發與研究上的需求來探索音樂活動在遊戲層面上的本質嗎？在這個研習營中我們將探索音樂活動及音樂遊戲之當下理論及數個開發的例子；並從實際活動中去體驗音樂活動與電腦遊戲間的相互關係。另外，在舉出的數個開發的例子中，將包括現在世界上非常受到歡迎的Guitar Hero電腦遊戲。

Want to explore how to make musical games and toys? Wonder how researchers and theorists look at the connections between musical activities and playing games? Want to explore together the nature of musical activities for your products and research? Here we will look at several current theories and development in musical activities and musical games, including the very popular Guitar Hero game.

講師簡介：

Barry Vercoe教授

Barry Vercoe帶領媒體實驗室Music, Mind and Machine群組，他至今已開發出“structured audio technology”能夠在D頻寬的網路下傳輸極度複雜且高品質的數位音訊，而不喪失任何音質。此科技在數年前已被納入MPEG-4，是世界當今第一個聲音合成的國際標準。Vercoe被推崇為以電腦聲音處理為主的年輕作曲家世代的導師，他開創合成音樂的創作，開發了Csound此軟體合成的電腦語言，他為合成音樂的創作開創了一個前所未有的途徑，在加入MIT之前，Vercoe曾執教於Oberlin College Conservatory和Yale School of Music，他擁有作曲博士的頭銜。
