I just gave it a try and installed the 7.64 with Nuendo 4.3 and was able to open a session with a video that wouldn't work with Nuendo 4.2.2 and QT 7.6.
yay!

First of all: Forget DirectX. It's known to be buggy and is not recommended at all.
Weapon of choice vs Nuendo is Quicktime. Quicktime is a container, how ugly or blocky
it looks depends on the codec and resolution you use. Quicktime with PhotoJPEG
(.mov-files) or MotionJPEG (.avi-files) seems to work flawless and stable with fairly good
quality, as many people in this forum use it in a professional environment (me too).
(Using it with a BlackMagic Intensity video card you can even output FullHD via HDMI
without any problems).

Another pro on Quicktime is that it allows multiple videos
in the timeline, even rudimentary cutting is possible. DirectShow doesn't allow this.

[用Folder Track解決 影片Lag的問題]

1.   Go to the preferences and disable the show event data on small tracks (or sth. similar... cannot remember).
Then shrink the size of the video track so that it is only a coloured bar (i.e. no grey boxes). Should work now.
2.   Try this: create a folder track and place the video track inside, than close the folder track.
It works for me.

繼蘋果雪豹的1394狀況外之後,業界又出現七夜怪談,Nuendo在Windows 7 的進程 尚未公佈 目前仍在測試階段 基本上很不負責 因為連預計進行的時程都沒有出現 這樣的訊息 人人都可以公佈吧 官方網站真是讓人大開眼界...

[Processing攻頂日記]saveFrame("line-####.tif")

感謝 李家祥和林子邦兩位前輩深夜的相助
終於明白 saveframe()的用法
其實 Processing的網站上早有記載
只是當時鴨子聽雷 彷彿從現在才真正開了扇小門鑽進去
原本是暑假前跟阿邦討教 如何將這個openGL的黑暗美美動畫存起來

我原本是希望即時錄下來成為Video檔(Quicktime什麼的)
記得搞了很久 也到Processing社群去問人
是阿邦修改這個範本 為我按下啟動開關
但直到昨晚 看到 Substrate那麼動人的影像時
突然衝動到希望錄下來 所以試圖回想阿邦當時的作法
上網去找 發現Output/Image 這個地方有點印象

所以就自己亂試....
但一直沒有順利存下每一格
有時只存到一格 有時是紅色警告 根本動不了
最後才領悟到 saveframe() 必須放在 draw(){}整個結束之前
也就是"}"之前 以這個為例:

}

成功的時候 發現程式的結構好乾淨 好秩序
天生是個美學的形式

雪豹的Firewire 和Bootcamp的1394 就治好了

簡短說明 Pre Delay

舞台上有A、B兩支樂器，A點的直射音和一次反射的時間差計算如下：

直射= 10 m
反射= 7 + 12 =19m
距離差= 19 - 10 = 9m
假設聲音每秒速度是 330公尺
時間差= 9 / 330 = 0.027 sec = 27 ms

請依此來計算 B點的時間差.

One thing is for sure: a song with DR14 which is sent through the processing chain of a radio station sounds just as loud as a song with DR6. In addition, it undergoes substantially less damage from the station's compressors!
On the other hand, the inherent loudness relationships (dynamics) in an already over-compressed DR6 track will be degraded and distorted through these processes. From a commercial point of view, there is no reason to over-compress CDs. In addition, unwanted audio artifacts resulting from levels that are too high or distortion in general is no longer a problem when encoding MP3s with DR14 music; musical enjoyment is significantly higher when listening to MP3s!
